Trump Declares No Third Debate to Be Held
  • PublishedSeptember 13, 2024

Former President Donald Trump has announced he will not participate in another presidential debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, effectively ending speculation about a third face-off, CNN reports.

“THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” Trump declared on his social media platform, Truth Social.

The announcement comes after Harris’ campaign repeatedly called for another debate, with the Vice President herself reiterating the request during a rally in Charlotte on Thursday.

“I believe we owe it to the voters to have another debate because this election and what is at stake could not be more important,” Harris stated.

Trump, however, dismissed the call, stating Harris “SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE DURING THE LAST ALMOST FOUR YEAR PERIOD.”

Despite Trump’s declaration, the Harris campaign remains unconvinced.

“He changes his position every day,” a senior Harris adviser stated. “I predict there will be another.”

Trump’s decision follows his critique of the moderators during the Philadelphia debate, claiming they were “very unfair” and that it was “three-on-one.” He has also repeatedly claimed victory despite most polls showing Harris as the winner.

“In the World of Boxing or UFC, when a Fighter gets beaten or knocked out, they get up and scream, ‘I DEMAND A REMATCH, I DEMAND A REMATCH!’ Well, it’s no different with a Debate. She was beaten badly last night. Every Poll has us WINNING,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Despite Trump’s announcement, the debate between running mates, Ohio Sen. JD Vance and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is still scheduled for October 1, hosted by CBS.
