Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have agreed to face off in a debate hosted by ABC on September 10, the network has confirmed, as reported by CNN.

The announcement follows Trump’s public statement agreeing to the debate, as well as two others scheduled for next month.

Trump, speaking at a news conference in Florida, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming debates, confirming dates of September 4 with Fox News, September 10 with ABC, and September 25 with NBC. He also emphasized the need to “set the record straight” during these events.

“The other side has to agree to the terms. They may or may not agree. I don’t know if they’re going to agree. (Harris) hasn’t done an interview. She can’t do an interview. She’s barely competent, and she can’t do an interview, I look forward to the debates because I think we have to set the record straight,” Trump added.

Harris, who had already accepted the ABC debate, confirmed her participation and expressed her eagerness to engage in the discussion. She also left the possibility open for additional debates after September 10th.

The ABC debate was originally intended for Trump and former President Joe Biden, but Biden has since withdrawn from the race. The Fox News debate on September 4th has been a point of contention, with Harris’s campaign indicating they will not participate.

While the NBC debate on September 25 is still under negotiation, the Harris campaign has not yet formally accepted. The network has reportedly offered the date, but details regarding location, rules, and moderators for all three debates are yet to be finalized.
