Svetlana Dali, the woman who gained notoriety for stowing away on a Delta flight from New York to Paris last month, has been arrested again while attempting to illegally enter Canada, multiple law enforcement sources told CNN.

Dali, a US permanent resident and Russian national, was apprehended Monday aboard a Greyhound bus headed towards the Canadian border, according to the sources. The exact location of her arrest remains unclear.  She had previously been charged with stowing away on the November 26 flight to Paris and released on a long list of conditions, including GPS monitoring and restrictions on travel.

On Sunday, Dali reportedly removed her ankle monitor, prompting a missing person report from her roommate.  She is now in FBI custody and is expected to be transferred to US Marshals in Buffalo on Tuesday. Charges of bail jumping are anticipated, carrying a potential sentence of up to five years in federal prison.

Dali’s previous stowaway incident involved evading TSA security at JFK Airport and boarding Delta Flight 264 without a ticket.  She hid in the plane’s bathroom during the flight, only being discovered upon landing in Paris. The incident caused significant disruption, forcing passengers to remain on the plane until French police arrived.

During her initial court appearance for the stowaway charge, Judge Joseph Marutollo expressed concerns about her release, citing the serious security breach involved. However, Schneider successfully argued against detainment.

The judge imposed strict conditions on Dali’s release, including a curfew, GPS monitoring, surrender of travel documents, and mandatory mental health evaluation. She was to reside in Philadelphia with an acquaintance from her church, who later reported her missing.

Dali’s past includes two recent lawsuits alleging victimization by military-grade chemical weapons and a kidnapping plot, as well as a previous asylum application in France. After her initial apprehension in Paris, she was removed from a return flight to New York for creating a disturbance. Her eventual return flight on December 4 was accompanied by French security officials.
