This holiday season, Wyoming State Parks and Historic Sites are bringing festive cheer to families across the state with a variety of holiday-themed programs, Wyoming News Now reports.

These events are part of an effort to expand public outreach and provide engaging, seasonal activities for visitors of all ages.

Carlo Migliaccio, an Interpretive Ranger for the Laramie District, emphasized that these festive programs are part of a broader initiative to offer more community-focused activities.

“These are programs that we’re doing more of, and it’s something that our district is hoping to do—just increase the number of programs we offer to folks,” he said.

Several holiday events are taking place throughout the Laramie District. Families can join Santa Claus for cookies and cocoa at Curt Gowdy State Park, or enjoy a Holiday Tea Party at the Governor’s Historic Mansion as part of the Tinsel Through Time event. Additionally, the Wyoming Territorial Prison in Laramie is hosting “Lights on the Range,” a festive light display that will remain lit every night through the New Year.

Migliaccio noted that the success of these events helps ensure that they are meeting the needs of the community.

“The more people who come out to them, then the more we know we’re kind of headed in the right direction, and the more we know we’re serving our community,” he said.
