Madison Antonino, an accomplished distance runner from Pinedale High School, has officially signed to run cross-country and track at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyopreps reports.
Antonino, who also represented Jackson Hole High School in cross-country, brings an impressive athletic resume, including multiple state championships and all-state honors.
A dominant force in Wyoming high school athletics, Antonino is a three-time all-state runner in cross-country and a two-time all-state recipient in indoor and outdoor track and field. She secured the 4A cross-country state championship title as a junior in 2023 and was named the 2023-24 Gatorade Wyoming Cross Country Player of the Year. Antonino also earned runner-up finishes in the state championships during her sophomore and senior years and placed 11th as a freshman. Notably, she won the 4A West Conference cross-country title three times. Her personal-best time of 17:43.1 at the Liberty Bell Invitational in Littleton, Colorado, in September 2024 highlights her exceptional ability.
In indoor track, Antonino is a two-time defending 3A state champion in the 3200 meters and recently finished second in the 1600 meters at the 2024 indoor state championships. In outdoor track, she is the reigning state champion in the 1600 meters and a two-time defending champion in the 3200 meters. She has also earned second-place finishes in the 1600 meters (2023) and the 800 meters (2024).
Antonino’s senior year will include her final seasons of indoor and outdoor track in 2025.
