Several University of Wyoming football alumni made headlines during Week 13 of the NFL season, showcasing their talents in key matchups, Oil City News reports.
Here’s a look at how these former Cowboys performed on the professional gridiron:
Josh Allen led the Buffalo Bills to a commanding 35–10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. The star quarterback had a highly efficient outing, completing 13 of 17 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns. Allen also added a rushing touchdown in spectacular fashion, taking a pitch-back from Amari Cooper and diving across the goal line in one of the season’s most thrilling moments.
Allen’s season totals now include 2,691 passing yards and 20 touchdown passes, ranking him sixth in the league for passing TDs.
Defensive end Carl Granderson contributed two tackles and two quarterback hits in the New Orleans Saints’ 21–14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Though the Saints’ offense struggled, Granderson’s consistent defensive effort stands out. This season, he has recorded 40 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and a forced fumble, continuing to build on his breakout 2023–24 campaign.
Veteran safety Tashaun Gipson returned to action for the 49ers in their loss to the Bills but saw limited playing time. He appeared in only two snaps and did not record any statistics. Gipson is still working his way back after an early-season suspension.
Linebacker Chad Muma and safety Andrew Wingard both saw limited action in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 23–20 loss to the Houston Texans. Neither recorded any statistics, with Muma playing primarily on special teams and Wingard taking a few defensive snaps after missing the first 10 weeks of the season due to injury.
Rookie offensive lineman Frank Crum did not play in the Denver Broncos’ 41–32 win over the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football. Crum has been sidelined since Week 8 and has yet to return to the lineup.
Linebacker Logan Wilson was inactive for the Bengals’ 44–38 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a knee injury. The Casper native has been a crucial part of the Bengals’ defense this season, racking up 104 tackles. His status for the Bengals’ next game against the Dallas Cowboys remains uncertain.
