According to data compiled by the social casino website Hello Millions, which analyzed Google search queries over the past 12 months, the top five most-searched food cuisines in Wyoming are:
- Indian Cuisine – 338.72 average monthly searches
- Chinese Cuisine – 271.52 average monthly searches
- Mexican Cuisine – 218.02 average monthly searches
- Thai Cuisine – 141.97 average monthly searches
- Italian Cuisine – 121.99 average monthly searches
Indian cuisine takes the top spot in Wyoming, with residents frequently searching for curries, tandoori dishes, and flavorful vegetarian options. Chinese food, a long-time favorite across the United States, holds second place, while Mexican cuisine comes in at a close third, showing the state’s appreciation for bold flavors and spices.
Nationally, the top five cuisines were similar but with some variation. Chinese food led the charge with 1.69 million searches per month, followed closely by Mexican and Indian food. The popularity of Italian and Thai cuisine also made waves across the country, placing fourth and fifth nationally.
Interestingly, Wyoming’s top five closely mirrored the national trends, though in a slightly different order. The high ranking of Indian cuisine is notable, especially in contrast to its lower national ranking. This may point to a growing local interest in flavors such as curry, biryani, and other Indian specialties.
The study also identified a shift in dining preferences across the nation, with international flavors—especially Thai, Indian, and Mexican—continuing to rise in popularity. Despite this, Chinese and Italian remain enduring favorites for many Americans, including in Wyoming.
