A luxury superyacht with a history of celebrity ownership, including Donald Trump and Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, has suffered significant damage after crashing into a dock in Tunisia, New York Post reports.
The 282-foot vessel, known as the Kingdom 5-KR, was once famously named “Trump Princess” by the former US president.
Witnesses reported that the superyacht, built in 1980 for a staggering $100 million, failed to stop in time and collided with the breakwater at the Marina of Bizerte on Friday. The bow of the vessel crashed into the stone dock, causing extensive damage to its hull and keel, as well as the docking quay. The ship’s anchor was also reportedly deployed before impact, scraping the boat’s nose along the port.
The Kingdom 5-KR, once named “Nabila” by its original owner, Saudi billionaire Adnan Khashoggi, has seen a string of high-profile owners. It was famously featured in the 1983 James Bond film “Never Say Never Again” as the headquarters for the villain, Maximillian Largo.
This lavish vessel boasts an array of luxurious amenities, including 11 staterooms, a massive pool, a movie theater, a hair salon, and a fully equipped hospital with an operating room. It can accommodate 22 guests and 31 crew members.
