Vice President Kamala Harris will sit down for an interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier on Wednesday in Pennsylvania, The Associated Press reports.

This will be her first interview with the network and her first interview with a news outlet outside of her ideological comfort zone since becoming the Democratic nominee.

Harris has previously granted interviews to CNN and CBS’s “60 Minutes,” as well as friendly venues like ABC’s “The View” and Howard Stern’s radio show. This increased media presence comes after a period of limited engagement with the press earlier in her campaign.

The interview with Baier, Fox News’ chief political anchor, is set to air at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Notably, Baier is one of the few prominent figures on the network not associated with conservative commentary, potentially offering Harris a platform to engage with a wider audience.

This interview comes after Harris publicly criticized Republican nominee Donald Trump for avoiding media engagements, specifically pointing to his refusal to release his medical records and participate in a “60 Minutes” interview. On Sunday, she questioned his staff’s motives, suggesting they might be hiding his “weakness and instability” from the public.

Trump, in turn, lashed out at both Harris and Fox News on social media, alleging the network has “grown so weak and soft on the Democrats.”
