High school downhill skiers from across Wyoming will head north for the Cody Invitational at Red Lodge Mountain Ski Area in Montana this weekend.
This marks the third weekend of the 2025 Alpine skiing season and the second consecutive weekend of competitions.
The Cody Invite will feature slalom races on the Turnpike ski run at Red Lodge. Both Friday and Saturday events will begin at 10 a.m., with varsity girls taking to the slopes first, followed by the varsity boys. Participating schools include Cody, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, and Pinedale.
While downhill skiers compete this weekend, Nordic skiing teams will have a break. Cross-country skiers are set to return to competition on Feb. 7-8 at the Casper Invitational.
