The latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Basketball Polls, released on Wednesday, highlight a shift in rankings with new No. 1 teams in the 4A division and notable re-entries in other categories, WyoPreps reports.
This marks the second consecutive week of significant changes in the polls.
In 4A, Cheyenne Central ascended to the top spot in the girls’ rankings, while Laramie claimed the No. 1 position in the boys’ rankings. These changes reflect impressive performances that have reshaped the top of the leaderboard.
Mountain View girls and Star Valley boys rejoined the rankings this week. For Star Valley, this marks their first appearance in the 4A boys’ top five since the preseason poll. Additionally, Thermopolis girls made their 2025 debut in the 2A girls’ rankings, taking the fifth spot.
