Starting January 31, the sale will kick off for both Wyoming and Montana. Pre-orders will be available until February 16, giving fans of the cookies an early chance to stock up.
For those who prefer to plan ahead, it will be possible to order cookies online at girlscoutcookies.com starting February 21. Additionally, beginning March 21 and running through April 13, cookie booths will be set up throughout the state, providing even more opportunities to purchase your favorite treats.
The annual cookie sale is an important fundraising event for Girl Scouts, offering a wide range of benefits for the participants. Through the sale, Girl Scouts learn valuable skills such as goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. These skills are integral to the growth and development of the girls involved.
The tradition of Girl Scout cookies dates back over 100 years, starting with homemade cookies sold door-to-door as a fundraising activity. Today, the scale of the cookie sale is much larger, with two national cookie factories producing the popular treats. This expansion has led to different regional names for some cookies, such as the well-known Caramel deLites, which are sometimes called Samoas in other areas.
