This weekend, Wyoming high school skiers will showcase their skills in both Alpine and Nordic disciplines at events hosted in Laramie and Lander, respectively, WyoPreps reports.
These competitions mark significant milestones in the 2025 skiing season, with the Alpine season entering its second week and the Nordic season moving into its third.
The second Alpine event of the season, the Laramie Invitational, will take place at Snowy Range Ski Area on the Sundance ski run. Friday’s competition will feature the slalom, while Saturday will see skiers compete in the giant slalom (GS). In both events, varsity girls will race first, followed by varsity boys.
Participating schools include Cody, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, and Pinedale. Skiing enthusiasts can find the results of the races on WyoPreps after the events conclude.

Athletes will compete in multiple rounds of heats starting at 11:30 a.m., with a new round every 2.5 to 5 minutes. The final heat is scheduled to begin no later than 4 p.m.
