WYO Winter Rodeo Events Continue at Trail End State Historic Site
The 2025 WYO Winter Rodeo kicked off with the Moonlight Ski on Jan. 11 and is now gearing up for its next event: Family Sled Day at the Trail End State Historic Site, Sheridan Media reports.
During a recent interview on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Shawn Parker, Executive Director of Sheridan County Travel and Tourism, expressed enthusiasm for this year’s winter conditions, which have allowed all planned events to move forward as scheduled.
Families are invited to enjoy a free sledding event on the east lawn of the Trail End mansion.
- When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon.
- Where: Trail End State Historic Site.
- What to bring: Participants must bring their own sleds.
The event is family-friendly, and refreshments, including hot chocolate, will be provided by the Trail End Guilds.
The following week will feature the return of skijoring to Sheridan as part of the WYO Winter Rodeo. According to Parker, the skijoring competition boasts one of the largest prize pools in the nation, drawing participants and spectators from across the country.
