Fatal Crash on Interstate 80 Near Cheyenne Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

A collision on Interstate 80 in Laramie County on January 12 resulted in one fatality and injuries to two other individuals, according to preliminary reports from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 10:24 a.m. near milepost 344, close to Cheyenne. Two westbound vehicles were involved in the collision.

The leading vehicle was traveling at around 25 mph with its hazard lights activated. The trailing vehicle, moving at approximately 65 mph, failed to notice the slower-moving car ahead and struck the rear of its trailer.

The crash claimed the life of 41-year-old Leonid Paladiy, a resident of Oregon. Two other individuals involved in the collision sustained injuries.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol provided the initial details of the crash through the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Fatal Crash Summary map. The information is preliminary and subject to updates as the investigation progresses.
