The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has affirmed its analysis and issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for 81 parcels sold during the June 2022 oil and gas lease sale in Wyoming, the Cheyenne Post reports.

This decision follows a court-mandated reassessment of the environmental impact of the lease sale.

With the decision finalized, the BLM can proceed with issuing leases for the parcels in question.

The environmental review included a 30-day public comment period, which concluded in December 2024. Stakeholders and interested parties had the opportunity to provide feedback on the assessment, which ultimately supported the continuation of the leasing process.

All related planning documents and the affirmed decision are available for public viewing on the BLM National NEPA Register.
