The University of Wyoming football team has added former Arizona wide receiver Jackson Holman to its roster, further strengthening its receiving corps, 7220 Sports reports.

Holman is the second wide receiver and the 13th transfer player to join the Cowboys this offseason.

Holman, a 6-foot-4, 208-pound receiver from Mission Viejo, California, brings three seasons of eligibility to Wyoming. While his time at the University of Arizona saw limited on-field action—appearing in eight games with a single special teams tackle—his high school performance at Mission Viejo High School was notable. Holman caught 79 passes for 1,339 yards and 16 touchdowns during his high school career, including a standout junior season with 46 receptions, 699 yards, and eight touchdowns.

Holman initially garnered attention from Power Four programs like Utah and Vanderbilt, as well as several Ivy League schools. After entering the NCAA transfer portal last December, he received offers from several schools, ultimately choosing Wyoming as his lone FBS opportunity.

Holman joins a receiver group that saw significant turnover during the offseason. Wyoming lost starting wideouts Tyler “TK” King and Justin Stevenson, who transferred to New Mexico State and Utah, respectively. Despite these losses, the Cowboys retained their leading receiver, Jaylen Sargent, who had a career-high 480 yards and two touchdowns last season, and rising sophomore Chris Durr Jr., who contributed 348 yards and a touchdown.

Wyoming’s wide receiver additions include Holman and Eric Richardson, a transfer from Northwest Missouri State. The incoming talent aims to fill the gaps left by departures and boost the Cowboys’ offensive versatility.

The Cowboys are actively reshaping their roster through transfers and high school signings. Alongside Holman, the program has welcomed a diverse set of players across positions, including defensive backs, linebackers, and offensive linemen. The coaching staff aims to secure three more transfers and at least five high school players before the spring semester begins on January 21.

Wyoming is also navigating the challenges of finding a veteran quarterback to lead the team while integrating new talent. The coaching staff’s goal is to add roughly 42 newcomers to the roster this offseason.
