In preparation for Random Acts of Kindness Week this February, Kindness Wyoming is ensuring that communities across the state are ready to spread positivity with the help of kindness kits, Wyoming News Now reports.

The initiative, led by Kindness Wyoming, aims to encourage individuals to engage in acts of kindness throughout the Cowboy State.

Mandy Fabel, a representative from Kindness Wyoming, expressed her belief that Wyoming, being a small state, has the potential to be a leader in fostering kindness.

“If there’s any state that could really have kindness shared throughout, I think Wyoming should be the leader in that,” Fabel said.

The kindness kits, which are packed by volunteers, are set to be sent out to businesses and schools across Wyoming. These kits are designed to inspire acts of kindness, with contents including stickers and activities that promote spreading goodwill. The initiative is made possible through funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield and Jonah Bank, which has enabled kits to be sent to all Wyoming schools.

Fabel explained that the kits focus on a positive and optimistic approach to promoting kindness.

“Instead of talking about, you know, don’t be a bully, or the challenges of mental health, this is a more optimistic approach of be kind, check on each other, be considerate,” she said.

For those interested in receiving a kindness kit, the deadline to sign up is January 15th. You can sign up to receive your kit and be part of this effort to spread kindness throughout the state.
