As 2024 comes to a close, Edness Kimball Wilkins (EKW) State Park in Wyoming is already gearing up for an exciting 2025, My Country 95.5 reports.

This past year saw the park buzzing with activity, offering visitors a wide array of outdoor adventures, from nature hikes and paddling on the pond to family nights and disc golf.

To build on that momentum, Wyoming State Parks has launched its 2025 annual permit sales. Those with a 2024 pass can continue using it through January 31, 2025, but many are eager to prepare early for another year of outdoor fun. Permits can be purchased at EKW State Park, other state parks across Wyoming, Rocky Mountain Discount Sports, or online at WyoParks.Wyo.Gov.

For those purchasing permits in person at EKW State Park, note the special end-of-year hours:

  • Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Appointments are available by calling 307-577-5150.

Until March 31, the park will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with park fees in effect. Day-use fees include:

  • Residents: $7 per vehicle for parks, $4 per adult for historic sites
  • Non-residents: $12 per vehicle for parks, $8 per adult for historic sites

Annual passes also make great holiday gifts for those who enjoy Wyoming’s natural beauty.

EKW State Park has enjoyed a memorable year, providing opportunities for recreation, adventure, and family bonding. The park’s offerings—like swimming, biking, and even winter-friendly activities—ensure that 2025 promises to be just as engaging.
