Students from Central and East High Schools earned top honors in the recent Wyoming Student Media Association (WSMA) state competition, which celebrates excellence in journalism and media production, the Cheyenne Post reports.

WSMA, dedicated to promoting journalism education and ethical practices in Wyoming schools, provides a platform for young media creators to showcase their talents.

Central High School students made a strong showing in the video production category, with the following accolades:

  • Golden Pony, All State: Luke Louderback, Central High
  • Silver Merit, All State: Regan Gerdes, Central High
  • Bronze: Cooper Borm, Avarie Guiterrez, and Josiah Tebussek, Central High

Students from both Central and East High Schools excelled in photography, earning recognition for their creative skills:

  • Silver Merit, All State: Luke Louderback, Central High
  • Bronze: Abby Allen, Danika Fenton, and Makayla Trippel, East High
  • Bronze: Brady McMullen, Central High
