President-elect Donald Trump has added another item to his burgeoning post-presidency merchandise empire: a line of guitars, The Associated Press reports.
The “Limited Edition ‘45’ Guitar,” unveiled Wednesday on Truth Social, features an American flag and eagle design, with Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan inlaid into the neck. Both acoustic and electric models are available, priced at $1,250 and $1,500 respectively, with higher-priced “Presidential,” “God Bless the USA,” and $10,000 “Signature Edition” guitars also offered.
The announcement comes on the heels of a $489 million civil fraud judgment against Trump and continues a pattern of the former president blurring the lines between his political and business endeavors. Since launching his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump has aggressively marketed a wide range of products, including watches (one model priced at $100,000), Bibles, sneakers, and even NFTs.
While some of these ventures, such as the “Official Trump Watch Collection,” are linked to CIC Ventures LLC, a company Trump disclosed owning, the financial arrangements behind the new guitar line remain opaque. The GetTrumpGuitars.com website lacks the licensing disclaimers present on other Trump-branded product sites. The site’s privacy policy lists a Nashville address for a couple who reportedly attended Trump’s election-night party in Florida, but they have not yet responded to requests for comment.
This latest venture follows a year of prolific merchandise releases, including $100 silver coins bearing Trump’s likeness, a “God Bless the USA” Bible, and Trump-branded sneakers unveiled at Sneaker Con. Trump also previously reported earning between $100,000 and $1 million from a series of digital trading cards depicting him in various cartoonish roles.
