Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been granted bail in a case accusing him of concealing income from the sale of state gifts, Bloomberg reports, citing his political party.

Islamabad High Court Judge Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb issued the order on Wednesday, according to Geo television, which cited a brief court statement.

The ruling offers a potential reprieve for Khan, who has been imprisoned for over a year and faces over 100 charges ranging from corruption and abuse of power to inciting violence. While the bail pertains specifically to the state gift case, it remains uncertain whether his release from jail is imminent, given the multitude of ongoing legal proceedings against him.

Khan’s imprisonment has sparked widespread protests and political turmoil in Pakistan.
