NFL bye weeks provide players with a valuable opportunity to rest and recharge amid the physical toll of the season, KGAB AM 650 reports.

For San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and tight end George Kittle, their recent bye week led them to Wyoming—a destination they chose to unwind, albeit with football still on their minds.

Despite planning a brief getaway, Purdy and Kittle’s competitive spirit followed them. Both players brought a football along, unbeknownst to the other, and ended up using the time to practice their skills and refine their timing on the field. This mix of relaxation and preparation showcased their dedication to staying sharp for their next game.

Evidence of their Wyoming visit surfaced on the fan-run YouTube channel 49ers Miners, where photos and videos shared by Purdy were highlighted. The footage from early November shows glimpses of the players enjoying their time in the Cowboy State.

Interestingly, Purdy and Kittle share more than their 49ers connection—they both have roots in Iowa college football. Purdy played as a quarterback for the Iowa State Cyclones, while Kittle made his mark as a tight end with the Iowa Hawkeyes. Their shared collegiate experience and team camaraderie have clearly carried over into their professional careers.
