The University of Wyoming wrestling program has announced the addition of six new recruits who will join the Cowboys in future seasons, Wyoming Athletics reports.
Head coach Mark Branch revealed the National Signing Day commitments on Wednesday, showcasing a group of accomplished high school athletes.
The signees include Bradlee Farrer, Lane Foard, Isaiah Harrison, Gunner Henry, Traven Sharon, and Luke Willochell. Each brings a strong wrestling pedigree and achievements that highlight their potential to excel both athletically and academically at Wyoming.
Meet the Recruits
Bradlee Farrer (American Fork, Utah)
Competing in the 165/174-pound weight classes, Farrer has earned a state championship and additional second- and third-place finishes during his high school career at Pleasant Grove High School. He also earned All-American honors with a fifth-place finish at the 2024 USMC/USAW 16U and Junior National Championships. Farrer is ranked No. 225 nationally by Matscouts.
“Brad is a great pickup from Utah, and we’ve had consistently great luck with our Utah recruits… He’s well-rounded and will solidify our middle weights,” said Branch.
Lane Foard (Reva, Virginia)
A standout at Benedictine Prep High School, Foard wrestles at 174/184 pounds and is a two-time state champion, three-time finalist, and top-three finisher at the National Prep Wrestling Championships. Ranked as the No. 3 recruit in his weight class and No. 44 overall by Matscouts, Foard also placed sixth at the Super 32 Challenge.
“Lane is a bulldog… His discipline is through the roof, and that will be such an addition to our culture,” Branch said.
Isaiah Harrison (Loveland, Colorado)
Harrison, a 133-pound competitor from Mountain View High School, has twice won state championships and placed three times overall. He earned All-American honors by finishing second at the 2024 USMC/USAW 16U and Junior National Championships. Harrison is ranked No. 149 by Matscouts.
“Isaiah is not only a fantastic wrestler who is quick and explosive, but he has great character and will be a big addition to our culture,” Branch commented.
Gunner Henry (Brownsburg, Indiana)
A 197-pound wrestler from Brownsburg High School, Henry has placed three times at the state tournament, finishing second once and third twice. His accolades include earning All-American status at the Super 32 Challenge and winning the IndianaMat Hoosier Preseason Open. He is ranked No. 16 in his weight class and No. 139 overall by Matscouts.
“Gunner wrestles at a very hard pace, and that will serve him well at the college level… He’s going to bring us success at the upper weights for years to come,” said Branch.
Traven Sharon (Ordway, Colorado)
Sharon, a 125-pound wrestler from Fowler High School, is a three-time state champion who will also compete on Wyoming’s rodeo team.
“Traven is going to compete in both rodeo and wrestling, so that right there tells you exactly how tough he is,” Branch noted.
Luke Willochell (Greensburg, Pennsylvania)
Competing at 133/141 pounds, Willochell has been a state runner-up and placed at the state tournament multiple times while wrestling for Greater Latrobe High School. His brother, Gabe, is a redshirt junior on Wyoming’s wrestling team.
“The Willochells are already family, so we wanted to keep that together… Luke is a stud from one of the toughest states known for wrestling,” said Branch.
With the addition of these talented recruits, Wyoming wrestling is poised to continue its tradition of excellence. Each signee brings unique skills, experience, and dedication that align with the team’s competitive culture.
“These six athletes represent not just talent but also the values we prioritize in our program… We’re excited to see how they develop and contribute to Wyoming wrestling in the years ahead,” Branch said.
