Wyoming Cowgirls Head Basketball Coach Heather Ezell has announced a promising set of new additions to the Cowgirl roster for the 2025 season, 7220sports.com reports.
The incoming class features four standout student-athletes from across the globe: Liv Blomkvist from Stockholm, Sweden; Katie Harrington from Victoria, Australia; Jane Rumpf from Denver, Colorado; and Peyton Wohlford from Smithville, Missouri.
“We’re excited to add these four early signees to our Cowgirl Family… They all bring a variety of skill sets that will translate well to our system. They all come from amazing families that will fit into our Wyoming culture perfectly,” said Coach Ezell.
Liv Blomkvist | 6’4″ | Forward/Center | Stockholm, Sweden | Lulea Elite Academy
Blomkvist arrives with an impressive resume, having led her team to back-to-back Division 1 North Ladies League titles. As the current captain for RIG Lulea, Blomkvist was named Player of the Tournament at the 2023-24 Swedish National Championship and has been a leader for Sweden’s U15 and U16 National Teams. A standout at the Swedish U19 Championships with a silver medal and MVP honor at a Portugal tournament in 2022, she’s expected to bring leadership and versatility to the Cowgirl frontcourt.
“Liv will be a great addition to our frontcourt with her size and ability… She can score in a variety of ways and has a motor that doesn’t stop,” Ezell noted.
Katie Harrington | 6’0″ | Guard | Victoria, Australia | Carey Baptist Grammar School
Harrington, a three-time MVP, has captained multiple teams in Australia and earned all-conference honors throughout her prep career. Known for her multi-sport athleticism, including volleyball, she adds both size and skill at the guard position, with the ability to score inside and outside.
“We got super lucky with Katie… We’ve had a lot of success with Aussies in our program, and I have no doubt Katie will continue that tradition,” said Ezell.
Jane Rumpf | 6’2″ | Forward | Denver, Colorado | Regis Jesuit High School
A versatile forward, Rumpf was instrumental in leading Regis Jesuit High School to a state runner-up finish and a 6A Elite 8 appearance in 2023. Rumpf’s skills span multiple sports, including field hockey and soccer, which underscore her athletic versatility.
“Jane comes from a great family and has a skillset that allows her to play multiple positions… Her high school and summer basketball programs have prepared her for an immediate impact at the next level,” said Ezell.
Peyton Wohlford | 6’2″ | Forward | Smithville, Missouri | Smithville High School
Wohlford, a sharpshooter with size, has made her mark as one of Missouri’s top players. She has led Smithville to two conference and district titles and ranks second all-time at her high school for career three-pointers made.
“Peyton can flat-out shoot the basketball and will be able to stretch the defense with her size… She plays for amazing coaches who have prepared her for the next level,” Ezell commented.
