National Signing Day brought an influx of talent to the University of Wyoming as high school recruits from across the country and around the globe committed to join the ranks of the Cowboys and Cowgirls in 2025, Cap City News reports.

With signees across multiple sports, UW Athletics announced the latest additions to its future rosters. As of Wednesday, Nov. 13, the university welcomed new recruits in golf, soccer, basketball, and volleyball, with more expected as the signing period progresses.

The Wyoming Cowboys men’s golf team will see four new players next season, all hailing from Wyoming and Colorado. Leading the class is Ryker Lind from Evanston, Wyoming, who earned Wyoming Golfer of the Year in 2024 and captured a state title. The team also signed Kellen Ball (Windsor, CO), Austin Barry (Fort Collins, CO), and Connor Scheich (Highlands Ranch, CO), each bringing strong records and all-state honors to the program.

“We feel great about this class with not only the level of play they bring but who they are as people,” said men’s golf head coach Joe Jensen.

The women’s golf team welcomed two promising athletes, both ranked nationally. Kiley Reisner from Simi Valley, California, joins UW as a champion of several national tour events and is currently ranked 148th in her class. Fort Collins native Ellie Barry, ranked 550th nationally, will also bring her championship pedigree to the team, joining her brother, Austin Barry, who signed with the men’s team.

“Both Kiley and Ellie will enhance our program culture,” said head coach Josey Stender.

The UW Soccer Team, competing solely in women’s soccer, added six new recruits, all from outside Wyoming. The group includes Jordyn Farrer (UT), Macey Fothergill (CO), Addison Keen (MO), Haley Robinson (NM), and Jenna Wanner (WA). With players from various elite clubs and national leagues, the new recruits aim to strengthen Wyoming’s program.

“This class excites us because of their competitiveness, quality, and desire to help move this program forward,” said head coach Josh Purdum.

Head coach Heather Ezell announced a diverse group of four recruits for the women’s basketball team. International additions include Liv Blomkvist, a 6’4″ forward from Stockholm, Sweden, who brings extensive experience as a national team captain, and Katie Harrington, a 6’0″ guard from Victoria, Australia. Rounding out the class are versatile forwards Jane Rumpf (Denver, CO) and Peyton Wohlford (Smithville, MO).

“They all bring a variety of skill sets that will translate well to our system… They come from amazing families that will fit into our Wyoming culture perfectly,” said Ezell.

Wyoming’s men’s basketball team announced two signees. Gavin Gores, a 6’10” forward from Wisconsin, and Laramie’s own Neil Summers, a 6’9″ forward, will bolster the team’s lineup for 2025. Both players bring height and versatility, joining the Cowboys with high hopes for the future.

So far, UW’s volleyball team has confirmed one new recruit, libero Lily Laflesch from Gilbert, Arizona, who is expected to strengthen the team’s defense in the coming season.
