Wyoming high school volleyball’s top players and coaches received well-deserved recognition on Monday with the release of the 2024 All-Conference Awards, Wyopreps.com reports.
Coaches from across the state cast their votes, selecting standout players from each division and naming the Player and Coach of the Year in various conferences.
The awards highlighted Wyoming’s volleyball talent across Class 1A through 4A, with students from both large and small schools earning distinctions for their dedication and skill.
Class 2A
In Class 2A, Laynee Walker of Kemmerer earned Player of the Year honors for the Southwest conference, while Coach Kinsy Voss from Big Piney was awarded Coach of the Year. In the Northwest, Brittly Boettcher from Rocky Mountain took Player of the Year, and Shannon Hill of Thermopolis was celebrated as Coach of the Year.

Class 1A
Class 1A honors saw Kenzie Evans of Little Snake River named Player of the Year in the Southwest, with her coach, Jenny Evans, earning Coach of the Year accolades.

- Encampment: Kyenna Jackson, Kristie Jordan, Eckerley Pickett

In the Northwest, recognition went to athletes from Burlington, Dubois, and Riverside, with Player and Coach of the Year positions still unannounced.
Class 3A
Lauren Olsen from Douglas was honored as Player of the Year in the East conference for Class 3A, with Angela Rhoades of Douglas celebrated as Coach of the Year.

In Class 4A, Avarie Gutierrez from Cheyenne Central was named Defensive Player of the Year in the East conference, while Erin Wedemeyer of Laramie received Coach of the Year.
