Wyoming drivers are seeing a slight relief at the pump, with average gasoline prices falling by 4.2 cents per gallon over the past week, according to GasBuddy.com.
As of Monday, the statewide average price for a gallon of gas is $3.06, based on a survey of 494 stations across the state.
This recent drop continues a month-long downward trend, with prices in Wyoming now 8.3 cents lower than last month and 25.3 cents lower than this time last year. The lowest price reported in the state on Sunday was $2.75 per gallon, while the highest reached $4.19, showing a $1.44 gap in pricing depending on location.
On a national scale, average gasoline prices have also dropped, with a 2.6-cent decline over the last week, bringing the national average to $3.03 per gallon. The national average has decreased by 16.7 cents over the past month and stands 32.3 cents lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy’s extensive survey of over 150,000 stations across the country.
In addition to gasoline, the national average price for diesel also dropped slightly by 0.4 cents, now averaging $3.52 per gallon.
