With Election Day just hours away, presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are crisscrossing battleground states in a last-minute push to secure votes, Al Jazeera reports.

The race remains tight, with key swing states showing narrow leads for both candidates.

Vice President Harris, joined by pop culture figures Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey, focused her efforts on Pennsylvania. She delivered a message of unity, urging voters to move on from the Trump era. Harris also emphasized her commitment to reproductive rights, promising to sign a national bill into law if elected.

Meanwhile, former President Trump held rallies in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. He touted a decisive advantage in the race, but also attacked Harris on issues like crime and immigration. Trump’s events saw mixed attendance, with one rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, reported to be only half full. Trump also made a controversial statement about using UFC fighters to battle migrants, suggesting he would create a league where the migrants could fight against champions.

According to FiveThirtyEight’s daily tracker, Harris holds a slight national lead over Trump. However, the race remains tight in several key swing states. Harris is ahead in Michigan and Wisconsin, while Trump leads in Arizona and has a narrow advantage in Nevada. Pennsylvania, with its 19 Electoral College votes, remains a crucial battleground.

Early voting has seen record turnout, with over 82 million Americans already casting their ballots. Harris will be hosting a watch party at her alma mater, Howard University, in Washington, DC, while Trump’s campaign has announced plans for an election watch party at the Palm Beach Convention Center in Florida.
