A single-vehicle crash on October 21 near Douglas, Wyoming, has resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man, according to a report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP).

The accident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on Ross Road, or County Route 31, approximately 15 miles outside of Douglas in Converse County.

Michael Turner was driving northbound in a GMC Sierra when he failed to navigate a left-hand curve. His vehicle left the roadway and collided with the front of a parked Kenworth commercial truck. WHP reports indicate that Turner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident. Road conditions were dry, and weather conditions were clear, leading investigators to consider driver inattention as a possible factor in the crash.

No other injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were involved. The Wyoming Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
