The Wyoming Coaches Association (WCA) has announced the 60 high school cross country athletes awarded all-state honors for the 2024 season, WyoPreps reports.

Each year, the top 10 finishers in each classification receive this recognition based on WCA guidelines, with no voting involved in the selection process.

Among the honorees, four student-athletes—Zena Tapia (Worland), Rian Cordell-Reiner (Cheyenne Central), Howard McNiven (Burlington), and Habtamu Wetzel (Star Valley)—achieved all-state status every year of their high school careers. Additionally, six runners were recognized for a third time, while 22 others received their second all-state award.

The 2024 season saw standout performances, with the six individual state champions named as Lyla Marney, Kinley Cooley, and Maggie Madsen for the girls, and Jadeth Elder, Trajn Swalstad, and Jase Burton for the boys. In the team standings, titles went to Tongue River, Cody, and Cheyenne Central for the girls, while Wyoming Indian, Worland, and Star Valley took home the boys’ championships.
