Presentation on Wyoming’s Incised & Burnished Rock Art Set for Nov. 9

On Saturday, Nov. 9, Bill Elder will present an in-depth discussion on the unique Incised & Burnished Rock Art Sites found throughout Wyoming.

The event, organized by the Fremont County Archaeological Society, a chapter of the Wyoming Archaeological Society, is free and open to the public. It will be held at 1 p.m. at the Riveron Library, located at 1330 W. Park.

This presentation will delve into the history, techniques, and cultural significance of Wyoming’s rock art, highlighting how these ancient artworks were created and preserved over centuries. Following Elder’s talk, attendees will have the opportunity to engage further in a Q&A session.
