Two Cheyenne-based contractors have been awarded nearly $11 million combined for a range of road projects across Wyoming, Cap City News reports.
The Wyoming Transportation Commission announced the contracts, totaling $59.88 million for the month, during its regular business meeting on October 17.
JTL Group Inc., doing business as Knife River, won a $5.82 million bid for work on 8.1 miles of US Highway 26 between Guernsey and Fort Laramie in Goshen County. This project, set for completion by August 31, 2025, involves asphalt paving, traffic control, chip sealing, and sidewalk and curb work. Knife River was also awarded a $1.63 million contract for similar work on 0.4 miles of Warren Avenue in Cheyenne, with a completion date of October 31, 2025.
Reiman Corp., also based in Cheyenne, secured a $3.54 million bid for a bridge replacement project in Natrona and Platte counties. The work includes structure replacement, grading, and erosion control, with a contracted completion date of November 30, 2025.
Additional contracts were awarded to companies from Sundance, Montana, South Dakota, and Cowley for various infrastructure projects across the state. Nearly all of these contracts were awarded to the lowest bidders, as is standard practice for the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).
