Elon Musk, the tech billionaire and owner of X (formerly Twitter), kicked off his series of pro-Donald Trump town halls in Pennsylvania on Thursday, drawing a packed crowd at Ridley High School in Folsom, Pennsylvania Capital-Star reports.

Musk, a vocal supporter of Trump’s presidential campaign, emphasized the importance of voter turnout, declaring, “It’s very clear to me that Donald Trump has to win this election.” He highlighted the crucial role Pennsylvania plays in the election, arguing that a small number of votes could determine the outcome.

The event, hosted by America PAC, a pro-Trump organization founded by Musk, focused on themes of government efficiency, freedom of speech, and immigration. Musk also expressed skepticism about mail-in ballots, arguing they are susceptible to fraud, while expressing his preference for paper ballots.

The Philadelphia suburbs, a key battleground in the election, have seen a flurry of campaign activity in recent days.

• On Monday, Trump held a town hall in Montgomery County, which was cut short due to medical emergencies in the audience.

• Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, addressed disaffected Republicans in Bucks County on Wednesday.

• America PAC has also announced another town hall for Friday in Philadelphia.

Musk’s town halls and the heightened activity in the Philadelphia suburbs underscore the crucial role Pennsylvania plays in the presidential race. Both campaigns are actively working to mobilize voters in this key state.

For Pennsylvania voters, the deadline to register is October 21, with the general election scheduled for November 5. The deadline to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot is October 29.
