Wyoming PBS will host debates for the state’s US Senate and House of Representatives races on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., County10 reports.

The event will take place at the Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theater at Central Wyoming College in Riverton and is open to the public.

The debates, each lasting approximately one hour, will be broadcast on Wyoming PBS and live-streamed on the station’s YouTube channel.

All ballot-qualified candidates have been invited to participate. In the US Senate race, Republican incumbent Senator John Barrasso of Casper and Democratic challenger Scott Morrow of Laramie have confirmed their participation.

For the US House of Representatives race, Democratic nominee Kyle Cameron of Cheyenne and Constitution Party candidate Jeff Haggit of Mountain View will participate. As of Oct. 1, incumbent Republican Rep. Harriet Hageman and Libertarian candidate Richard Brubaker had not confirmed their participation.

The debates will follow a standard question-answer-rebuttal format, moderated by Wyoming PBS Senior Producer Steve Peck. Peck will be joined by panelists Chris Clements, a state government reporter for Wyoming Public Media, and Clair McFarland, a reporter for Cowboy State Daily.
