A Thai woman, identified only as “Suda,” has recounted her harrowing two-hour battle with a massive 4-meter-long python that attempted to strangle her in her own home, Khaosod English reports.

The incident reportedly occurred on September 17 in the northern Thai province of Udon Thani.

Suda, a resident of the Kumphawapi district, was preparing for bed when the python, estimated to weigh over 40 kilograms, slithered into her room. The massive reptile wrapped its powerful coils around her neck, constricting her airway and threatening her life.

“I was terrified. It was so big,” Suda described the terrifying encounter to reporters. “I could not breathe, and I thought it was going to kill me.”

Despite the immense pressure on her throat, Suda managed to fight back. She bravely punched and kicked the python, desperately trying to break free from its deadly grip. The struggle lasted for two hours, with Suda’s strength gradually fading.

Eventually, Suda’s cries for help attracted the attention of her neighbors. They rushed to her aid and, using shovels and other tools, managed to pry the python away from Suda’s body.

The python, exhausted from the struggle, was subdued and subsequently released into the nearby forest. Suda, despite being left with deep bruises and scratches from the python’s attack, is reported to have survived the ordeal with no serious injuries.
