Entrepreneur Elon Musk has issued a stark warning on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, suggesting that the United States may never see a “real election” again if Republican candidate Donald Trump loses the upcoming presidential race, Bulgarian media outlet Fakti reports.
Musk pointed to the Democratic Party’s purported plans to legalize 15 million undocumented immigrants and attract tens of millions more foreigners, asserting that such actions would transform the US into a “permanent one-party state.”
“This is the last real election if Trump loses,” Musk wrote on the platform.
Donald Trump has also expressed strong opinions on the issue of immigration. On August 15, he blamed the Biden administration’s failed immigration policies for what he described as a crime epidemic sweeping the nation. Trump reiterated his warnings about the rise in crimes committed by undocumented migrants, referring to them as “cruel, vile, evil” individuals allegedly allowed into the country by US Vice President Kamala Harris.
In March, Musk criticized President Joe Biden’s administration for what he perceives as a lack of action against migrant-related crime. His remarks were in response to reports that the police in Los Angeles had formed a special unit to combat organized gangs of foreign nationals involved in home robberies.
