Elon Musk on Track to Become First Trillionaire by 2027

Elon Musk, currently the world’s richest person with a net worth of $251 billion, is projected to become the first trillionaire by 2027, Sky News reports, citing a new report from Informa Connect Academy.
The report, titled “2024 Trillion Dollar Club,” highlights Musk’s remarkable wealth growth, averaging 110% annually. If this trajectory continues, he could reach the trillion-dollar mark within the next three years.
Musk’s electric car company, Tesla, is also experiencing significant growth, with a market value of $669.3 billion and a growth rate of 173.3% per year. This means Tesla could surpass $1 trillion in market value by next year.
The report identifies Gautam Adani, founder of the Indian business conglomerate, as the second closest to becoming a trillionaire, with an annual growth rate of 123%. Jensen Huang, CEO of tech firm Nvidia, and Indonesian energy and mining mogul Prajogo Pangestu are also predicted to join the trillion-dollar club by 2028.
Controversies Surround Musk’s Rise
Despite his impressive wealth accumulation, Musk has faced numerous controversies in recent months. Since acquiring for $44 billion and rebranding it as X, he has sparked outrage with actions including:
• Endorsing an antisemitic conspiracy theory and apologizing for it.
• Telling advertisers who left the platform to “fk off.”
• Getting X banned in Brazil due to a feud with the country’s Supreme Court.
• Interviewing former President Donald Trump live on X and declaring his support for his re-election bid.
• Promoting a Tucker Carlson interview with podcaster Darryl Cooper, who made false claims about the Holocaust. Musk later deleted the post after facing criticism.
• Criticizing UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, accusing him of endorsing “two-tier policing.”
