South Korea and Germany conducted combined naval drills in the Yellow Sea on Friday, showcasing strengthened cooperation between the two nations, Yonhap news agency reports.

The exercise involved the South Korean Navy’s ROKS Incheon frigate and the German Navy’s Baden-Wurttemberg frigate.

The drills focused on maritime maneuvers and data sharing, with both vessels engaging in exercises designed to enhance their navigation capabilities.

The German frigate, which has been operating in waters near the Korean Peninsula to monitor UN sanctions against North Korea, made a port call in Incheon to replenish supplies.
