Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba tendered his resignation on Wednesday, paving the way for a major cabinet reshuffle, CNN reports.

Kuleba, a major figure in President Volodymyr Zelensky’s administration and a key liaison with foreign officials, is the latest high-profile resignation amidst the ongoing war. His departure precedes President Zelensky’s expected visit to the US this month.

The Ukrainian parliament is set to consider Kuleba’s resignation at an upcoming plenary meeting, according to Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The reshuffle, announced by Davyd Arakhamia, the majority leader of Ukraine’s parliament, will see major changes within the cabinet.

“As promised, a major government reset can be expected this week. More than 50% of the Cabinet of Ministers’ staff will be changed,” Arakhamia said on Telegram.

New members are expected to be appointed shortly.

Other resignations include the Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin, who is expected to assume a new role within the defense sector, the justice minister, the environment minister, and the reintegration minister.
