In a forthcoming book of photographs, former President Donald Trump reflects on his time in office and his post-presidency life, providing personal commentary on key moments throughout his political career. Titled “Save America,” the book is set for release on September 3, NBC News reports.
The Trump-authored publication features a collection of photographs paired with insightful and often humorous captions. Excerpts obtained by the media outlet reveal a blend of personal recollections from Trump regarding meetings with global leaders, family milestones, and memorable appearances alongside celebrities such as golfer Jack Nicklaus and musician Kid Rock.
Sergio Gor, publisher at Winning Team, expressed enthusiasm about the book’s potential impact.
“No other book captures the historical journey of President Donald Trump like Save America. Early sales have been incredible, and we are in the process of reprinting as we speak,” the publisher said.
In the book, Trump does not shy away from addressing his critics; he openly discusses various foreign leaders and includes details about a recent assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania. Among the more provocative claims, Trump accuses Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg of “plotting” to sabotage his 2020 re-election campaign. He recalls a meeting with Zuckerberg in the Oval Office.
“He would come to see me, bringing his very nice wife to dinners, be as nice as anyone could be, while always plotting to install shameful Lock Boxes in a true PLOT AGAINST THE PRESIDENT,” he stated.
This comment refers to the substantial $420 million donation made by Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan Zuckerberg, to local election offices during the last presidential election.
Trump further issues a stark warning.
“We are watching him closely, and if he does anything illegal this time, he will spend the rest of his life in prison — as will others who cheat in the 2024 Presidential Election,” he wrote.
A spokesperson for Meta, Zuckerberg’s parent company, declined to provide a comment regarding the book’s claims. The Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative did not respond immediately to requests for comment.
The book also includes notable images from significant events, including the CNN debate that many believe contributed to the waning of President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.
