British Rock Band Oasis Announces Comeback Reunion Tour for 2025
British rock band Oasis has officially declared a highly anticipated reunion tour set to kick off in 2025, CNN reports, citing a statement on the band’s website.
The tour will start on July 4 at the Cardiff Principality Stadium in Wales, featuring a total of 14 dates across the UK.
“This is it, this is happening,” brothers and band frontmen Noel and Liam Gallagher said on X.
Tickets for the reunion tour will go on sale at 9 a.m. local time in the UK (4 a.m. ET) on Saturday, August 31.
In their statement, Oasis stressed that there was no singular moment leading to the reunion but rather a “gradual realization that the time is right.” The band also shared plans to perform additional dates outside of Europe later in 2025.
This announcement comes just two days shy of the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut studio album, Definitely, Maybe, released in 1994. The album featured hit tracks such as “Live Forever,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,” and “Supersonic,” marking the beginning of Oasis’ rise to fame.
The Gallagher brothers have had a tumultuous relationship since Oasis disbanded in 2009, frequently exchanging barbs in the media. Both have previously discussed the potential for a reunion. In a 2023 interview with KPNW 89.9 radio, Noel hinted that he would be open to a reunion if Liam reached out to him.
Prior to Liam’s UK-based Definitely, Maybe anniversary tour in June, he claimed that Noel had declined a serious offer for a reunion tour.
“We put an offer on the table for an Oasis thing – because we got offered it – and he said no,” he explained.
Next year will also mark the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ second studio album, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, which features iconic songs including “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” and “Champagne Supernova.” The band ensured their status as a Britpop phenomenon in 1996, drawing 250,000 concertgoers over two nights at the Knebworth Festival, an event that saw more than 4% of the British population applying for tickets—one of the largest demands for concert tickets in British history.
Oasis released their most recent studio album, Dig Out Your Soul, in 2008, but Noel departed the band during a concert in Paris in 2009.
Since the breakup, both Liam and Noel have embarked on successful solo careers. Liam has released three solo albums and several collaborations, while Noel formed Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in 2010, releasing four studio albums.
