RUSSIA REFUSES TO EXPORT GRAIN TO UKRAINE THROUGH THE MEDIATION OF THE UNITED NATIONS

Officials of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that due to the attack of unmanned aerial vehicles on the city of Sevastopol, located in the Crimean region, the government of the country decided to suspend Russia’s participation in the campaign to supply grain to Ukraine.

The head of the office of the President of Ukraine described this situation as follows in his telegram channel: “Nuclear, financial and food provocation,” in turn, information was received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia that “participation in the campaign stops only for a certain time.”

At the same time, information was added from the Russian Ministry of Defense that supplies were being stopped due to a terrorist act by Kiev with the participation of the Great Britain on October 29 of this year. Because of this terrorist attack against the Black Sea fleet and a number of civilian vessels that maintained the security system of the “green corridor”, Russia was forced to stop implementing agreements on the export and supply of agricultural products from Ukraine.

The UK government completely denies its involvement in the preparation of the Crimean drone attacks, declaring that Russia “goes very far in spreading false information.”

In July, with the mediation of the UN and Turkey, an agreement was signed between Russia and Ukraine on lifting the blockade of the Black Sea ports and ensuring the free passage of grain and oil crops, which are the main export goods of Ukraine. Putin, in turn, said that if the aforementioned corridors are again used as a venue for terrorist attacks, Russia will have to close them.

According to the statements of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which were published last Monday, it will be necessary to make a lot of efforts to ensure that the agreement is extended.

The World Food Program estimates show that several tens of millions of people are suffering from food shortages as a result of the war, and the West has accused Russia of food blackmail and using food as a weapon.

Stephane Dujarric, the UN official representative, said that the organization is aware of the Russian initiative to stop the supply of a number of food products to Ukraine under the Black Sea grain agreement due to the attack on the Black Sea fleet. It was reported that the UN is in touch with Moscow on the regulation of this issue.
